Alex began his career in Manchester as a graduate engineer. In 2011, he moved to London to join Foster + Partners as an intermediate mechanical engineer, where he built strong experience across a wide range of developments, including international projects.

In 2024, Alex joined MZA as a Principal Mechanical Engineer. Before this, he supported both large and small projects from early design through to delivery, working closely with contractors of all sizes, including Skanska and Mace.

Alex has a wide range of project experience, from complex government schemes to major residential developments, including tower blocks from 8 to 33 storeys. He has also contributed to new-build commercial offices and the replacement of installed MEP services across the City of London.

Committed to developing his skills, Alex enjoys working closely with architectural, sustainability and structural teams on MZA projects. He also values building strong, collaborative relationships with clients and contractors. As a senior member of MZA’s design team, Alex supports our mechanical degree apprentice team by delivering modules as part of their structured training programme and mentoring them throughout their professional development.

Alex is currently working through his application for Chartership with CIBSE.
